The Covenant with Abraham - blessing overflowing.

The Covenant with Abraham- blessing overflowing

Genesis ch 12 vs 1-3  Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2  And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

When we read the above covenant , on e stark difference we see from the earlier ones is that this has no conditions imposed on man, It is totally one sided. Solely dependant on GOD.
“ I will” is the key to this covenant with Abram. Let us look at this a little more

A- I will make you a great Nation.
The promise to Abram of being a big nation. The promise to protect and keep the big nation.
B- I will bless you and make your name great.
This is a personal promise to Abram The bless him and make his name great.
C- And in you all families will be blessed
This is a common blessing to all the families under Abram
Are we a part of this nation of Abram? Are we part of the family of Abram.? Think my dear friend.
We are part of this wonderful promise . We have to do nothing to get this covenant blessing. We have to be part of the family.. How are we part of this family? Today when you look up to Christ. When you feel him as your friend. You ever present help in times of need. All these promises come into our lives.

It is the one purpose of God for us to be , 1) A father of a great nation.  2) To receive personal blessing from God . 3 ) To receive personal honor and reputation  and 4) to be the source of blessing to others.

Today did we get our personal blessing?  Today Are we a blessing to others?

May God bless you and guide you and may you be a blessing to others.

Make someone’s day happy today. Enjoy the peace and happiness which He has given in abundance in our live.

God bless you .
