What is your purpose in life?

Psalms 139: 13   For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother's womb. 14 I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Why are we made in this world?

What is our purpose in life?

Why are we facing problems in our life? 

Have we found the reason for our lives?

Why is my life like this? Others seems to be better off?

Are these the questions that are running in your mind?

These were running through my mind too until I stumbled on the above verse. The above verse gives us proof that GOD knew us before we were born.  We have been woven together. Intricately designed.  We were woven together in our mothers womb. Even before that God knew us and knew why He wanted us to be in this world.

Have we really thought about this – being intricately designed?  When we see a beautiful art work, or paper craft, or any craft we say WOW that is beautiful. But we do not say that to ourselves.

He knows us so beautifully. We were created with a purpose. God has chosen the best for us. We need to acknowledge that every day and say thank you to God our father and proceed with the day.

Once we are able to do this faithfully from the bottom of our heart, we will see that we have wonderful day every day.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made. We need to have reverence to the God who so wonderfully made us. We should not compare ourselves to anyone else. Each of us are unique .Each of us have a mission to accomplish.Each of us were brought to this world for a beautiful life. 

Thanks to technology today we can see how we are formed in our mother's womb.If you can see some Youtube videos, we will reliaze how an egg and a sperm together form and then we are Woven. I remember a real incident. There was a bachelor boy of marriageable age. He did not want to get married due to a certain health challenge. His parents finally convinced him. After his wedding he did not want to have a child. They agreed but unfortunately she became pregnant. Just two days after his son was born his condition became very critical and he passed away. His purpose in life was to help bring that son to the earth. Even if we try to stop, we cannot stop God’s Wonderful plan for us.

Let us reflect into our lives and understand our purpose in life. Look to Jesus and he will help you to find our way forward. He is Master , Saviour and our King. Let Him be the king in our lives.

Dear Loving Father Thank you Lord for making us who we are. We thank you that you will help us to know our purpose in life... We thank you because you have a great and wonderful plan for us. Help us to make our goals in line with your purpose in our lives. Amen

Genesis 3: 6     And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

 This is the story of the first Sin committed by Man in the Garden of Eden. The sequence of these events is very critical in our day to day life.

1. The woman saw that the tree was good… And it was pleasant to the eyes.

      The world around us is showing us things which will tempt us to fall to sin. Lustful posters on the walls, Magazines, why even the advertisements, internet. It need not only be this. For some it could be greed of money, power. All this is being glorified through the media that we can SEE around us. 

       B   She took of the fruit thereof

      The second thing that happened is she took it or she touched it.  When we see something or we desire it we tend to touch it. A small child is a beautiful example of this. Consider taking you child who is around 4-5 years old to a mall or big shop. The child will like a nice colorful toy.  At this stage we can take the child and move to another area of the shop.   But in case we do not do that then the child will either walk towards what he/ she likes and will initially just look but slowly the hand would like to touch it. Some children are funny when they do this. They touch and immediately take their hands off and then touch it back again slowly. Then they just pick it up and come to the parents. Many of us parents easily know that it is very difficult to take this out of the child’s hand once they have it.

What I am trying to tell you is also similar.  Many of us who fall for lust for the opposite sex continue to do so after the touch portion.

     C. And did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

The third thing that happened is she ate it or she consumed it.  The final trap of sin is when we get to enjoy the sin part. It could be stealing money and then buying things that we desire. A thief get a high when he is enjoying the fruit of what he has stolen. (Till the point he is caught at it). 

     Life outside the Christ centered world is like this. We have all studied about plants that are carnivorus.The Venus fly trap is a classic example. It is beautiful to see from afar. Once an insect is attracted to its beautiful colour and come near and probably sits on the edge of it. It is tempted to go it and once inside then the trap doors shut on the insect. 

      Sin is similar. Once we are attracted to it by the sight and touch then we are trapped in it for ever. Only by His Abounding Grave are we saved.  Submit yourself to the LORD. Ask HIM to help you because he was tempted also in every way while on the earth. But He did not SIN. Only He can set us free my friend. God has a beautiful plan for each of us. Only we need to submit to Him and allow Him to enter our lives. 

 May HIS GRACE fill your heart today and May His Love be around you to help you in your fellowship with our Loving God.

AND GOD SAID --- How to speak right

Vs. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Vs. 6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

Vs. 9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

Vs. 11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

Vs. 14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Vs. 20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

Vs. 24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

Vs. 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

As we all know this is how the Creation started. I want to highlight here AND GOD SAID.  Seven times it is said before God says Let us make man in our image.

What is the significance of AND GOD SAID? God created the whole universe by speaking it into existence.  Be it the lights, the firmaments etc. All things were created by the WORD of GOD.

John 1: 1 Says “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

The WORD is very important to GOD. Because HE is the WORD.  And in Genesis 1: 26 God says Let us make man in our IMAGE and LIKENESS.   Have we pondered on this in light of the above discussions?

Let us make man in our image: We are the express images of GOD. To put it into simpler language, we are the carbon copies of GOD.  Each of us reflect God within us. Then why should we discriminate people based on colour creed etc.? We as Christians should show the world how we ought to treat our fellow brethren.

Let us make him in our LIKENESS: This is what I am more interested in. The WORD we speak should reflect this. Are we speaking right? Are we speaking of HOPE, FAITH, POWER and CONFIDENCE in Christ Jesus or are the words we speak of Failure, Loss, Defeat and Despair.  

Take a moment to reflect back on what we spoke to our Parents, Spouse of Children this morning? How many of us actually lifted up their spirits? Every WORD we speak should be of MOUNTAIN MOVING POWER because that is what GOD is and we are created in HIS Likeness. .

I know that to practice this is to make it a daily habit will take time. But let us consciously think and refocus our attention on the words we speak.

There are a lot more references in the Bible which talk about our WORDS. I will leave it to you to read and study it.

 Our loving gracious Father, We thank you Lord for we have been created in your Likeness, May we speak Victory, Faith and Power into our lives Fill us with your Holy WORD so that we can enrich the lives of those who come in contact with us today. May we be used for your Glory. In Jesus Mighty name we pray    AMEN
